        <content type="html">Never mind. I manage to solve the issue I was having. I just created a new service in /etc/systemd/system/ and enable the service so that it starts when the system boots.

I am using this centos kernel 3.10.0-957.27.2.el7.x86_64. I have a rtl8811au wifi usb. I can connect  to the internet without problems but every time I reboot I have to again run wpa_supplicant. I have added my usb interface to the environment file (/etc/sysconfig/wpa_supplicant) and to etc/systemd/system/mdhclient.service. Can you help me please with this issue. Thank you.

I would like to add an external wireless adapter to my system and configure so that I can get access to the internet.   Does the above procedure suit my requirement? I see that when D-Link DWA123 (https://wikidevi.com/wiki/D-Link_DWA-123_rev_D1) is not attached to the usb port, the 8188 module is not loaded

$ lsmod | grep 8188
$

After I plug it, I see that the module is loaded

$ lsmod | grep 8188
r8188eu               421888  0 
cfg80211              614400  1 r8188eu

Do you have any idea about this error

$ sudo wpa_supplicant -i wlp36s0f3u3 -c /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf -B
